SCHEDULING

I’m currently only consulting with my clients/patients via online video calls. Please submit new appointment requests here.

Gift Certificates are also available:

CANCELLATION POLICY

My cancellation policy requires 48 business-hours notice for any cancellation or to reschedule your appointment. A cancellation fee will be charged if this is not met as this prevents another patient from being scheduled. If an emergency arises within 24 hours please contact me as soon as possible.

COMMUNICATIONS

Email is the most effective way to communicate with me. Please understand though that email communication is best reserved for simple yes or no questions, I always welcome those. However, if you would like to discuss changes to your recommendations, new health concerns, discuss imaging types and frequency, ask my opinion about information you read online or have more involved questions, I ask that you schedule a follow up consult.

PAYMENT

Payment is due at the time of service, I accept Zelle, Venmo, credit cards, and bitcoin.

Regarding insurance, unfortunately health insurance companies do not honor naturopathic doctors. However, clients with health savings plans or HSA plans successfully process their payments with those.

As a courtesy, I provide patients with a Superbill which may be filed with your insurance company by you for potential reimbursement or kept for tax deductions.

LABS AND IMAGING

Your labs and imaging may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance, however you’ll need to work directly with your insurance provider to ensure coverage. As every healthcare company and plan is different, I cannot take responsibility for tests ordered that fall outside of coverage. I will always try and obtain the most cost effective tests for you.

PRIMARY CARE

I am not a primary care physician and require that every patient maintain care with a local, primary care doctor while seeking my advice for specialty/adjunctive care purposes.

MY APPROACH

394 million new cases of just 36 chronic conditions have been diagnosed between 1990 and 2015. Since 1990 in the United States, 36 chronic diseases have more than doubled, of which 20 more than tripled and 16 of those have quadrupled, these include hypothyroidism, chronic fatigue/ME, autoimmune disorders, heart disease, and metabolic diseases.

Standard of care remains largely in the dark as to why we are seeing such exponential growth on a global scale. Nor do they seem to offer many solutions.

The integration of hydrogen isotope chemistry and medicine gave rise to deutenomics to provide answers at the atomic level for cellular events. What is the smallest common element that causes large disturbances by its physical properties and how did we miss it so far? How can we restore metabolism, or tissue and organ function by knowing about it?

Deutenomics cannot get any more foundational in terms of the therapeutic order, which is the set of guidelines that define the Principles of Naturopathic Medicine. These state that we first address the underlying causes of illness and assess determinants of health and remove the obstacles. This is where we start, always.

Next we address the symptoms that remain with the most sensible and least invasive interventions first. Functional medicine is different from other approaches to medicine in its lack of adherence to a specific and limited set of tools, therapeutic flexibility is at its core. Therefore we (you and I) will consider all therapeutic options including lifestyle, nutritional, botanical, pharmaceutical and surgical interventions.

I have been practicing Deutenomic Medicine since the Spring of 2018 and have applied the various deuterium-regulating and deupleting measures in an individualized manner for different medical presentations. I have seen great results in reversing type 2 diabetes, resolving functional hypothalamic amenorrhea (FHA), clearing up brain fog, restoring thyroid function, and increasing median survival time in those with cancer.

I can tell you there has been no greater satisfaction in being able to find some answers for those who’ve previously been told there is nothing we can do or their condition to be called “idiopathic”. An intervention has to have some measure of clinical efficacy, meaning there has to be a noticeable change in the particular condition that can be observed, measured with lab tests, imaging or a resolution of symptoms.

A November 10, 2020 JAMA paper entitled Clinical Trial Evidence Supporting US Food and Drug Administration Approval of Novel Cancer Therapies compared the effectiveness of 92 FDA approved novel cancer therapies approved for 100 indications over 17 years. The data showed that the median absolute increase in overall survival time was only 2.4 months. These included hormonal therapies such as Fulvestrant and immunotherapies such as Ibrance (Palbociclib), Opdivo (Nivolumab) and Yervoy (Ipilimumab).

If we compare this to data presented in October 2019 in Budapest by Dr. Gábor Somlyai, it is clear that we can do better. He retrospectively evaluated a population of 2,222 cancer patients who received deuterium-depleted water (DDW) alongside their standard of care treatments. His data showed a median survival time (MST) of 11.1 years, a 4-5 fold increase compared to the life expectancy of 2.5 years from the time of diagnosis based on Hungarian population data. This is years, not months.

This best describes my approach when I consult with individuals who have been struggling with chronic health concerns including a cancer diagnosis, cardiometabolic dysfunction, dysfunctional iron metabolism as well as cognitive decline and neurodegenerative diseases.
